Connecting People In and Around Tampa with Local Awesomeness

Are you aware of the energy issues that we are facing today? Perhaps you would like to help educate those who would like to be informed or maybe you'd like some information on these issues yourself. If either apply, please join us at USF's Tampa Campus for "Energy Action Week" from April 11th through April 18th. Our goal is to promote "Awareness to Action" on key energy issues, from Solar and Wind to Coal and Nuclear. Our events below are meant for anyone across the bay area, not just students, so please contact me if you are interested in attending or having a table.

Saturday, April 11th
- E.A.R.T.H. Service Day starting at Marshall Center's Atrium at 9 am. and ending at 1pm. Start the week off with volunteering at either Sweetwater Organic Farm, Community Stepping Stones, Croc Encounters, Mayors Beautification Project in Roulette Park, Lowry Park Zoo, and Keep Hillsborough County Clean.

- Green Tea Party at Kaleisia Tea Lounge, 7pm - 10pm - Join us for a potluck to help fundraise for the Southern Energy Network.

Hey Jamie,

Unfortunately, I won't get to participate in clean energy week as I'm not in Tampa yet. I am however, very interested in going "green" when I arrive.

One area that I'm personally interested in is geothermal heating and cooling. I was curious if anyone in the Tampa area has implemented this technology?

I'm looking forward to EarthFest at Sweetwater - it will also be a chance to say goodbye to Daniel and Michelle!
