Here's Rene Valenzuela's menu for his second appearance at Chefs On The Loose. Simply Delicious. This guy is a great guy with such energy and passion it only makes the food taste better. This is the real deal.Pure.Simple.

Chips and Salsa

Just made corn chips and salsa made with grilled tomatoes, jalapenos, onions and roasted garlic.

Mango Margaritas

Frozen Margaritas made with mango puree, lime juice, Tequila and Cointreau Orange liquor

Seafood Guacamole

Guacamole made chunky with pico de gallo (tomatoes, onion, cilantro) topped with seafood salpicon with crab meat and shrimp.

Think of it as crab cakes with guacamole minus the butter.

Tamalitos with two salsas. Side of zucchini, roasted poblanos peppers, corn and cream.

Ancho Chile stuffed with beef tenderloin, shiitakes and cremini
Chile Relleno Ancho con puntitas de res y hongos

Café con LecheMexico City style with cinnamon cookies

Coffe made with condensed milk
Infused with cinnamon and piloncillo
Spiked with premium Tequila café liquour
Topped with whipped cream
And dusted with chile ancho powder
Chocolate liqueur marinated cherry on top.

If you have not eaten at Bamboozle Cafe (516 N Tampa Street) in Downtown, well get there. Place is totally legit.

Hello food friends. I have the best new spot in town for food, art, booze, live music. Ellas Americana Folk Art Cafe in Seminole Heights (5119 N Nebraska Ave). Friend Ernie Locke ( lead singer and harp player for local band Nervous Turkeys) and Wife Melissa have compiled all of their amazing folk art and love of live music and great food in one amazing new space. you have to see it in person to really appreciate it. Official opening next Thursday, I got the sneak peek last night, and the place is beyond rad, whatever that may be. Hope to see everyone from Tampa Bay Eats checking it out next week.

In Chefs On the Loose news, Bobby Triplett and Rene Valenzuela (Taco Bus, Monterey Mexican) are both coming back to Chefs on The Loose in October, go to the website and look for more info to come. These boys know how to throwdown in the kitchen.

Just spoke with Rene Valenzuela, of the famed TacoBus, about his upcoming event at Chefs On the Loose, his menu is "off the Dick Cheney".

An amazing person, a great spirit and passion for what he does. Authentic , Orthodox, and Traditional Mexican Cuisine, the way its been for thousands of years. You really are missing out if you cant make it to his event on June 18th at Chefs On The Loose. See you in the Kitchen!

Richard Bottini from Six Tables Tampa will be at Chefs On The Loose May 27th. Go to www.chefsontheloose.net. A classical technician in the kitchen with a desire to go the extra step to hand craft imaginative and traditional dishes. Menu that will certainly have some surprises.

Appetizer: Rock Shrimp Torchon with Candied Thai Chilies

Entree: Grilled Lamb Rack with Picholine Vinaigrette

Dessert: Guava Butter Torte

Chefs On The Loose Brew Ha Ha January 17th. See the menu on the website www.chefsontheloose.net. Take warning the deliciousness may be overwhelming so you may want to be sitting. Which I guess is only a warning those who internet on the go.

shhhhhhh.....that Creative Loafing progam is getting too popular. When my favorite restaurants post certificates, they're now gone within days! :(

I'm totally with you on the steak tastings thing. Vaca Frita - Yum!

I'd love to see a class on pasta making (capellini, ravioli, tortellini) and I'd like to learn knife skills.
