Hi Noah,
I've been playing email tag with you about Avante Garde and saw your profile on here and wanted to say hey. I'm pretty sure I'm on the email list for it and I'm looking forward to being able to go to an event soon.
I agree. a non-profit is the key. I also work in Ybor and i talk to alot of peopel that tell stories of haow it was back in the 30s thru 60s. they speak of how cultured and alive it was. they always mention the lack of crime (because they never speak of the mob during that time) and how friendly a close evryone was. I see no reason why Ybor can't return to it hayday of a cultured community. I;m going to look into the busker idea and see what i could do about it. if you have any ideas please throw them my way.
Noah, i injoyed your reply to my comment. I apoligize for my use of the word bum. I know a lot of homeless people and this is the way we talk to each other. homeless people are aware of who they are and don't think of that word as bad per say. beside the point...
I don't know a lot about boston due to the fact i have never been there. I used New Orleans as an example b/c i have been there.
Buskers huh...? I've never heard the term. But the point is not the homeless, it was just a simple starting point in a brainstorming session that lead to the thought of streetmusic in tampa.
now what i want to know is. How can we bring street music to tampa for next to no money? is it possible to organize a group of buskers in Tampa?
Do you think the idea is even worth talking about?
Thanks for the reply and insite and i will fallow that link to learn more.
