In 1891 railroad magnate Henry Plant constructed the most astonishingly magnificent hotel of its day. With its splendid Moorish architecture, opulent furnishings, and tropical gardens, the Tampa Bay Hotel is home to the Henry Plant Museum.
I think Henry Plant would be pleased that his landmark hotel is still relevant...that the minarets are are synonymous with Tampa. Henry would be involved with bringing high-speed rail to Tampa. Building another hotel at a high-speed rail stop?

- 30 years!
- What neighborhood do you live in, why did you choose it and what do you like about it?
- Ballast Point. We chose the house because of the lovely oak trees surrounding it.
- If you were to move to a different neighborhood, what would it be and why?
- I would love to have more property for a large vegetable garden and two chickens.
- What is your favorite thing about Tampa?
- The water.
- What kinds of things are you involved in?
- Mostly things that involve my children. I have three.
In work, I am involved with Tampa Downtown Partnership, Arts & Culture Committee, Chamber of Commerce, Arts And Culture, Tampa Bay & Company, etc.
